Outline of Research at the Start

顕微鏡的多発血管炎(MPA)は、本邦で頻度の高い難治性の壊死性血管炎である。MPAの治療は副作用の大きい副腎皮質ステロイドと免疫抑制剤に依存しており、患者負担の少ない治療のためには病因・病態および治療標的分子の解明が必須である。
研究代表者らが発見した活動期のMPA血清で特異的に増加し、炎症惹起能をもつペプチド：AC13は、ApoAIが切断されて生成すると考えられるが、その生成機序は不明である。本研究ではApoAIを切断してAC13を生成するプロテアーゼを同定する。また、MPAの分子標的治療法や活動性評価法の開発を目指し、当該プロテアーゼのMPAの炎症への関与を解明する。
