Outline of Research at the Start

我々は、非侵襲的に採取できる涙液や唾液で糖尿病関連バイオマーカーが測定できないか 検証してきた。その中で2週間程度の血糖値を反映するグリコアルブミン(GA)値が測定で きることを実証し、定期的なGA値測定が糖尿病患者の管理を改善することを示してきた。
この度の申請では、非侵襲的GA値測定の臨床応用を見据え、1唾液中のGA値測定の妥当 性に関する研究、2唾液中のGA値の郵送検査に関する研究、3定期的なGA値測定の糖尿病 患者に与える影響についての研究 を実施することとした。 1~3の研究を通じて、唾液中のGA値測定の妥当性を検証しながら、郵送を使った定期的 な唾液中のGA値測定の糖尿病管理法としての有用性を実証する。
