Outline of Research at the Start	これまでに発症前段階において炎症性サイトカインやneurovascular unit(NVU)の障害マーカーが，脳内アミロイドβ蛋白(Aβ)蓄積量および大脳白質病変の重症度と関連することを明らかにした．この研究成果から脳内Aβ蓄積には，NVUを構成する脳微小血管やアストロサイトの障害によるglymphatic systemの破綻が関与するという仮説を立てた．本研究の目的は，Aβの排泄経路であるglymphatic systemに着目して，全身性慢性炎症やNVUの障害が関与する脳内Aβ蓄積機構を明らかにすることである．
