Outline of Research at the Start	超高齢化が進んでいる日本において、加齢による糖代謝異常は様々な合併症とリンクしており、「健康寿命」に影響することが知られている。老化に伴う糖代謝異常は膵臓におけるインスリン分泌が低下することが大きな要因として知られており、新規治療法の開発は急務である。近年、老化β細胞は細胞老化関連分泌形質（SASP）を介して周囲の細胞に悪影響を及ぼしていることが報告されており、本課題では老化β細胞を除去するワクチンを開発し、糖代謝異常を抑制する新たな治療アプローチの可能性について検討を行う。
