Outline of Research at the Start

２型糖尿病患者は、骨密度が高くとも骨折しやすい骨質劣化の骨脆弱性を有している。加えて近年頻用されているGLP-1作動薬による体重減少は、筋量喪失のみならず骨密度低下を生じ、骨折リスクの増加が危惧される。2-Methoxyestradiol(2-ME)をHIF-1αの代理指標として活用し、減量による骨脆弱性亢進の病態を解明し、糖尿病治療関連骨粗鬆症の予防戦略を構築する。
