Outline of Research at the Start

筋萎縮性側索硬化症（ALS）の早期診断を可能にする非侵襲的MRIバイオマーカーを開発することが本研究の幹である。神経変性の広がりの推定に基づくAwaji基準など従来のALS診断基準では、初発症状出現から診断に至るまでの期間は平均13ヶ月であり、この間に病状が著しく進行することが多く、疾患修飾療法の有効性が制限される。このQC（Quality　Concernment）に対処するため、ALSの早期診断と疾患評価を可能にする、疾患進行に沿った病理学的変化の画像化に焦点を当てたMRI技術の開発を目指す。
