NREM期（特に深睡眠期）とREM睡眠期に暴力的な異常行動を示すparasomnia overlap disorder (POD)は、高齢男性に好発するREM 睡眠行動障害（RBD）の亜型と捉えられているが、実際には若年期に発症する群と高齢期に発症する群に二大別される。本研究では、RBDがα-synucleinopathyの運動・認知症状に発展するリスクが高いことに注目し、この二群のPODがRBDとどのような関連性を有するか、運動・認知症状への発展リスクを有するかを総合的に検討するものである。
