Outline of Research at the Start

放射線治療は直腸がんなどで、手術療法と術前放射線化学療法やWatch and Wait療法が広まりつつある。骨盤照射ではリンパ節領域を含めた原発巣に対する照射が一般的であるが、有害反応が無視できず治療効果を高めるための線量増加も難しい。直腸がんは経口投与による抗酸化物質の投与は難しく、治療効果の低減のリスクを否定できないため研究が十分行われていない。細胞実験において放射線防護材として還元型CoQ10、放射線増感剤であるチタンナノ粒子TiOxを組み合わせた治療薬剤をAPCmin/+モデルを用いることにより腫瘍に対して放射線治療効果を高めつつ、腸管の防護を同時に行える治療法の開発を行う。
