Outline of Research at the Start

本遺伝子治療法は、標的遺伝子の部位と、導入遺伝子の構成を工夫したゲノム編集技術によって、目的遺伝子を肝臓で効率的に発現させ、かつ、宿主への影響を低減させ得るアプローチである。本研究を通じて概念実証を行うことにより、フェニルケトン尿症に対する根治的治療法となり得るだけでなく、他の疾患にも利活用可能であるため高い拡張性も有する革新的なアプローチとして期待できる。
