Outline of Research at the Start

難治がんである胆道癌は3種に大別されます。特に胆管内乳頭状腫瘍（IPNB）は膵臓の膵管内乳頭状粘液性病変（IPMN）と似ていますが、その病態は不明です。以前より両者に共通する「腸型」に着目しており、腸型の形質を獲得する腸分化システムと癌悪性形質との関与を研究してきました。本研究ではIPNBモデルを作成し、腸分化システムが誘導する因子が治療標的となるかを確認します。この成果は、胆膵癌として一体化した治療体系の構築が期待できることからも早期の臨床応用が期待されます。
