Outline of Research at the Start	膵癌は非常に予後不良な疾患であり、早期から変動する新規因子を見出し、早期発見につながるバイオマーカーや新規治療法を開発することが必要不可欠である。我々は、PLXDC2が膵癌組織において発現し、その発現が腫瘍浸潤突起形成に関わるcortactinと共局在することを見出した。さらに、膵癌患者の血中PLXDC2は健常者と比較して有意に上昇することを明らかにした。本研究では、膵癌進展に関与するPLXDC2-cortactinの分子メカニズムを解明し、PLXDC2-cortactinを標的とする膵癌の新規治療法の開発や、血中PLXDC2値を指標とする膵癌のバイオマーカーの開発を目指す。
