Outline of Research at the Start

MASLDは本邦で4人に1人が罹患する疾患であり、一部が肝がん・肝硬変へと進展しうる。効果的な治療法開発、病態進展高危険群の絞り込み法の開発が望まれている。本研究ではMASLDの病態進展に伴い更新するコアフコシル化という糖鎖修飾に着目して基礎研究によりコアフコシル化を担う糖転移酵素であるFut8の阻害剤、コアフコシル化特異的レクチンであるPhoSLを用いた治療法の開発を目指す。またヒト臨床検体を用いてMASLD病態進展高危険群の絞り込み法の開発を目指す。
