Outline of Research at the Start

心不全は高齢化や心臓病の原因となる生活習慣病の有病率の増加に伴い、我が国において増加の一途にある疾患である。心不全の原疾患である心筋梗塞は発症に日内変動を持つ疾患である。午前に血圧が上昇するため、この時間帯での心筋梗塞の発症率が他の時間帯に比べて高いことや、心血管疾患治療薬で時間生物学療法が有効であることが報告されている。しかし、心不全患者において、時計遺伝子との関連を体系的に解析した研究はない。
本研究では、ヒト末梢血単核球および心臓細胞、心不全モデルマウスにおける時計遺伝子の役割を解明し、時計遺伝子を標的とした検査法、治療薬開発の基盤を構築する。
