Outline of Research at the Start	肺動脈性肺高血圧症は、肺動脈構成細胞のがん類似異常増殖能とアポトーシス抵抗性による肺血管リモデリングを主病態に持つ難病である。肺血管抵抗増大による右心負荷の他に、心臓におけるBMPR2（bone morphogenetic protein receptor type 2）機能障害が、肺病変とは独立して肺動脈性肺高血圧症における右心不全発症に関与する可能性が近年報告されている。本研究では、肺動脈性肺高血圧症最大の病因遺伝子であるBMPR2のリガンドBMP9/10が、右室リモデリングと右心不全発症において果たす役割の解明と共に、これらに対する世界初の治療ターゲットとしての可能性を検討する。
