Outline of Research at the Start

これまでの研究で患者のエキソーム解析により、日本人に多い重症肺障害の原因遺伝子として肺で発現するムチンMUC4を同定した。さらに、MUC4遺伝子多型と分子標的薬による肺障害との関連を示すコホート研究では、全患者が同一リスクアレルを有していた。しかし、MUC4の機能や発症機序は未解明である。本研究は培養細胞実験によりMUC4が重症肺障害に関与する病態機序を明らかにし、また、MUC4が重症肺障害の診断・予後マーカーとして有用かどうかを患者時血清を使用した研究により検討する。
