Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、小型プロテオグリカンPRELPの肺血管内皮における役割を解明することを目的とする。
まず、マウスやヒトの肺組織より単離した内皮細胞を用いて、PRELPの果たす役割を検証するため、欠損マウス由来の内皮細胞の解析や、正常肺に対するリコンビナントPRELPの投与により、その影響を解析する。さらに、内皮および上皮の透過性亢進に起因する急性呼吸窮迫症候群(ARDS)の病態に着目し、PRELP欠損マウスやARDSモデルマウスを用いて、PRELPのARDSの病態における役割を評価し、リコンビナント蛋白の投与が病態を改善する可能性について検証する。
