Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、シアル酸という糖鎖を標的にして多様な病態・病変を呈する糖尿病性腎臓病の診断マーカーを見出すことを目的とする。特に、研究代表者はDKDの初期におけるα2-3結合シアロ糖タンパク質の変動を見出しつつあり、それに由来するシアリル化糖ペプチドが新たな早期診断マーカーになると考えている。本研究はこれまで困難であったα2-3とα2-6結合のシアル酸結合様式を識別する解析基盤を構築する。DKDモデルラットや臨床検体の解析から、両者において共通してシアリル化糖ペプチドの候補を導き出し、既存バイオマーカーとの相関解析によりシアリル化糖ペプチドマーカーの有用性を明らかにする。
