Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では近位尿細管特異的PPARα欠損マウスを用い様々な動物実験モデルを作製し、各臓器の表現型変化、脂質・糖代謝変化、炎症・酸化ストレス・アポトーシス/フェロトーシスの変化ついて病理学的・生化学的に解析する。これらの解析により腎臓病や他臓器合併症進展機序の一端が判明する可能性がある。さらに、腎脂肪酸代謝機能維持に着目した新規腎臓病治療および全身合併症予防法の開発に貢献し、新たな研究分野を開拓することを目指す。
