Outline of Research at the Start

緩徐進行性腎疾患に共通する病態の本質は, 機能ネフロン数の減少過程にある. ネフロン数と単一ネフロン濾過量（ネフロン指標）の臨床的定量化は長年のニーズであったが, 患者へのアプローチの技術的な限界により実現されていなかった. 申請者らは, 腎疾患患者に適用可能なネフロン指標の測定法を独自に開発した. 本研究では,ネフロン指標測定の実用化を推進するための新規測定ツールの開発を目的とする. 本研究によって, 腎臓病学において長年のアンメット・ニーズであった臨床現場におけるネフロン指標測定の有用性を検証し, 社会実装に向けた測定技術の向上を図ることで, 腎疾患患者の予後改善を目指す.
