Outline of Research at the Start	心血管疾患による死亡（心血管死）は世界中で増加傾向にある深刻な問題である。心血管死の主な原因は動脈硬化症であり、全世界人口の3割が動脈硬化症を有する。肥満や糖尿病では動脈硬化症が発症進展するが、その機序には依然不明な点が多い。また、血管の老化は、心血管疾患を惹起するのみならず、多くの臓器の機能障害と代謝異常を引き起こし、個体寿命およびQOLに大きく寄与する。本研究では申請者らの同定したFavine(fat/vessel/derived secretory protein)のさらなる作用解明を目的とする。
