Outline of Research at the Start

これまでに我々は特定の腸内細菌種が、脂肪酸吸収抑制効果、抗肥満効果を持つことを明らかにしてきた。本研究ではそのメカニズムを明らかにする。健診受診者においてメタボリックシンドロームに予防的に働く腸内細菌、あるいは２型糖尿病患者において治療効果と相関する腸内細菌を見出す。マウスを用いてそれらの腸内細菌の生理的作用、糖代謝、エネルギー代謝に及ぼす影響を確認しメカニズムを検討する。
