Outline of Research at the Start

新規がん免疫療法である免疫チェックポイント阻害剤（ICI）治療は、十分な効果が得られない例がある。また、ICI治療の際には、免疫機構が関与する副作用である免疫関連有害事象（irAE）が発症する可能性がある。その中でも、甲状腺におけるirAE（甲状腺irAE）の発症頻度は高いものの、その機序は不明である。研究代表者はこれまでに、バセドウ病の抗原および免疫寛容誘導ペプチドを同定してきた。その経験を生かし、本研究では新規の甲状腺抗原エピトープ提示機構を解明し、がん免疫療法におけるバイオマーカーの開発を将来的な研究目標とする。
