Outline of Research at the Start	トリプルネガティブ乳癌(TNBC)は生物学的悪性度が高いこと、早期再発、予後不良という特徴があり、その治療選択肢も化学療法、免疫チェックポイント阻害剤（ICI）、PARP阻害剤があるものの、依然として治療に難渋する例も存在する。申請者らは乳癌の腫瘍マーカーとして用いられている糖蛋白、ムチン１のC末端（MUC1-C）が様々な癌種の癌幹細胞性に関与することを見出した。本研究はMUC1-CとTNBCの悪性度に関与する薬物抵抗性・免疫回避・癌幹細胞性との関連性を解明し、治療抵抗性TNBCの新たな治療戦略を創出する。
