Outline of Research at the Start	進行すると致死的な肝不全に至る病態である肝不全を克服し得る治療として、唯一肝移植があるが、様々な問題点からその適応には限界があり、肝不全に対する新たな治療開発が期待される。我々は肝不全患者自身の筋芽細胞から作成した細胞シート移植による肝不全に対する新規再生医療の開発を目指して、これまでに細胞実験および小動物を用いた基礎的研究を行い、その有効性を示してきた。本研究では、その治療効果を効率的に誘導すべく有効性の作用機序を分子レベルで解明し、また同時に大動物での検証実験および臨床研究を行い、この新規治療の臨床応用を目指してさらに前進させることを目的とする。
