Outline of Research at the Start

本研究ではオーラルフレイルの大きな構成要素である“咀嚼力”の数値化に着目することとした。食道癌患者より教師データとして数値化された咀嚼力を取得し、教師あり機械学習の手法で検査値・画像・歯科所見から推定咀嚼力を算出することで、既治療症例における咀嚼力の経時変化を可視化するとともに治療成績との関連を明らかにする。また、実臨床への応用として咀嚼力を対象とした介入試験を歯科の協力のもと計画・実施し、周術期成績の向上や予後・QOL改善を目指す。本研究成果は、既治療症例のビッグデータを用いた多施設研究や、食道癌のみならず他癌腫や他疾患に臨床応用可能な普遍性と高い発展性を兼ね備えるものと確信する。
