本研究では、抗PD-1抗体治療が不応な90％以上のmismatch repair protein proficiency (pMMR)直腸癌に対して、放射線治療とDNA修復遺伝子に対するshRNAあるいはアンチセンス遺伝子が搭載されたウイルス治療を併用し、pMMR to dMMR conversion strategyが可能か、ひいては全直腸癌症例の免疫治療をもとにしたnon-operative managementが可能かの仮説に対して臨床検体を用い検証しならびにIn Vitro, In Vivoでの基礎研究を遂行することを目的とする。
