Outline of Research at the Start

サルコペニアは筋肉量の低下に筋力または身体機能の低下を伴う状態である. 近年，癌患者においてサルコペニアが予後不良因子であることが報告されており，注目されている. 近年，腫瘍進展・治療抵抗性におけるユビキチン・プロテアソームシステムの重要性が報告されており，さらにサルコペニアにおける骨格筋分解経路にも重要な役割を担っていることが明らかとなっている.本研究では，ユビキチン・プ ロテアソームシステムに着目し，従来の抗腫瘍薬の作用機序とは異なる新たな観点から検証を行い，治療標的の可能性について検証することを目的とする.
