Outline of Research at the Start

膵臓癌は5年生存率8％と極めて予後不良な癌腫で国内の死亡者数は増加している。近年では免疫チェックポイント阻害薬が癌薬物治療のキードラッグとなりつつあるものの、膵臓癌では効果が乏しく、治療成績の向上のためには新たな治療法の開発が急務である。本研究では既存の治療法に高い抵抗性を示す膵臓癌に対して、癌治療ウイルスを用いた免疫応答賦活により、高い抗腫瘍効果を誘発する革新的な治療法を開発することを目的としている。
