Outline of Research at the Start

サルコペニアは、加齢や疾患により骨格筋量が低下する状態であり、大腸癌術前にサルコペニアを伴う患者は 予後が不良であることが知られているが、その具体的なメカニズムは未解明である。本研究では、サルコペニア患 者における骨格筋から分泌されるマイオカインが、どのように腫瘍細胞の増殖や抗腫瘍免疫に影響を与えるのか を、In vitroおよびIn vivoで検証し、分子メカニズムを解明することを目的とする (図1)。また、これらの結果を基 に、サルコペニアを伴う大腸癌患者の予後改善に向けた新たな治療ターゲットや戦略の開発を目指す。
