Outline of Research at the Start

免疫チェックポイント阻害剤（ICI）は食道癌薬物治療に変革をもたらしたが、効果発現に時間を要し、pseudo progressionやhyper progressive diseaseなどの特徴的所見が見られる。ICI治療の継続・中止には正確な効果判定が必要だが、既存画像検査には限界がある。腫瘍細胞由来の血中遊離DNA（ctDNA）がバイオマーカーとして注目されている。本研究では、症例特異的変異を標的とした低コストで頻回なdigital PCRによるctDNAモニタリングシステムを用い、ICI治療と化学療法におけるctDNA変動を比較し、治療奏効メカニズムを解明し、新たな効果判定法を開発する。
