Outline of Research at the Start

房室中隔欠損症は、21トリソミーに多く合併することが知れているものの、その発生原因は分かっていない。21トリソミー患者のゲノムワイド関連解析（GWAS）により、いくつかの１塩基多型（SNP）の関連が疑われているものの、オッズ比が2.0を超えるものは見つかっていない。遺伝子のcoding領域のみならず、非翻訳領域、プロモーター領域、エンハンサー領域の解析を可能であり、岡山大学バイオバンクに数多く保管されている房室中隔欠損症患者を対象に全ゲノム解析を行い、候補遺伝子を同定し、モデル動物にて病態の再現性を確認することにより、房室中隔欠損症の発生原因を解明する。
