Outline of Research at the Start

アスベスト曝露により発症する悪性中皮腫（Malignant mesothelioma、以下MM）は、
外科的切除が困難な難治性悪性腫瘍である。MM患者では3つのがん抑制遺伝子NF2, BAP1及びp16INK4a遺伝子の高頻度な異常が認められる。しかし、分子病態の全貌は解明されておらず、ゲノム医療に基づく新たな抗がん薬の開発が望まれている。
