Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、難治性慢性疼痛に対する脊髄刺激療法（Spinal Cord Stimulation: SCS）において、治療効果の個人差を克服するため、安静時機能的MRI（resting-state fMRI）を用いた脳機能画像解析により、SCSの有効性と適切な刺激法（Low dose stimulation、High dose stimulation）を事前に予測可能とする新たな指標（バイオマーカー）を探索・確立するものである。SCSによる脳機能への作用機序を明らかにし、刺激法の選択を科学的根拠に基づいて最適化することで、個別化された疼痛治療の実現を目指す。
