Outline of Research at the Start

間葉系幹細胞の細胞培養上清は、その細胞療法より、倫理の制約がより少なく安全性が高いため注目されている。私たちは、未分化な細胞が多く神経への分化能が高いが、極少量しか採取できないヒト乳歯歯髄幹細胞に興味を持ち、不死化遺伝子を導入し株化細胞を作製し、その培養上清（SHED-CM）の製剤化を目指している。本研究では、SHED-CMの糖尿病性末梢神経障害治療への臨床応用を目指し、ストレプトゾトシン誘発Ⅰ型糖尿病マウスモデルを用いて、その治療効果と作用機序として、神経修復・再生にも関わるサイトカインProgranulinや組織メタロプロテアーゼ阻害剤1/2の関与を明らかにする。
