Outline of Research at the Start

プロポフォールは静脈内鎮静法や全身麻酔で使用される麻酔薬で、検査や手術の際に臨床において頻繁に使用されている。しかし、その作用については明らかにされておらず、麻酔から覚醒させる拮抗薬も存在しない。臨床において小児と成人の麻酔で比較すると、投与量の違いがあり、一般的に小児で多くなる。また、プロポフォールは覚醒までの時間が早いこともあり現在は拮抗薬が存在しないが、特に歯科治療においては、気道に近接した特殊な環境下での治療となることから、拮抗薬の存在意義は大きい。本研究は成長による麻酔効果の差を引き起こすメカニズムの解明、およびプロポフォールに対して拮抗作用を示す薬剤の探索の一助になる研究である。
