Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、重症患者の最後の砦であるECMO治療中に発生する高サイトカイン血症を抑制する新規治療法の開発を目的とする。凝固第XII因子を標的としたsiRNAと、人工肺表面のコーティング技術を併用し、動物実験によりその有効性を検証する。炎症による臓器障害の軽減と生存率向上を目指し、将来的には敗血症への応用が期待される。
