Outline of Research at the Start

経皮的人工心肺(Extracorporeal Membranous Oxygenator)は最重症の呼吸・循環不全、そして心肺停止患者への最後の砦として使用される生命維持装置である。しかし、血液は体外を還流すると凝固して血栓を形成するため、長時間の使用により人工肺に血栓形成を来たす。今回我々はCurrent Induced Magnetic Tomography (CIMT)の技術を用いた機器を用いて、ECMOの人工肺に装着することで血栓形成の検出が可能かを検証することを目的とした研究を行う。
