Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は敗血症に伴う神経炎症にフォーカスした研究である。
本研究は、高齢マウスのマイクログリア置換を行った後に、盲腸結紮穿刺手技にて敗血症関連脳症を誘発し、マイクログリア置換の効果と影響を調査する。これにより、敗血症関連脳症およびせん妄における老化マイクログリアの働きを明らかにする。
マイクログリア機能の解明を図り、高齢者の敗血症に伴うせん妄の病態解明、治療標的性を明らかにする目的の研究である。
