Outline of Research at the Start

グリオーマにおいてCDKN2A共欠失がなぜ治療への抵抗性を示すかについては依然不明であり、その生物学的意義の解明とその克服戦略開発が喫緊の課題である。予備実験の結果を踏まえ本研究では、患者由来グリオーマ幹細胞株とマウス脳移植モデルを用い、CDKN2A遺伝子欠失に伴う細胞周期に対する変化を解析し、さらに予備実験で得られたCDKN2A共欠失グリオーマに対するWee1阻害の抗腫瘍効果のメカニズムを解明することで、臨床応用に向けた創薬や個別化医療の実現を目指す。
