Outline of Research at the Start

特発性手根管症候群は、中高年女性の約10％に発症する好発疾患である。症状が緩徐に進行するために受診が遅れがちであり、整形外科受診時には重症化していることが多い。重症化後の治療介入では、治癒までに1年以上を要し、さらに十分な機能回復が得られないことが多くある。本提案では手根管症候群に伴う母指運動の異常を検知するスマートフォンアプリを開発し、病院に行く前に日常生活中で疾患を早期発見し、早期治療に繋げることを目指す。「日常生活中の動作解析」という新しい概念を導入し、手根管症候群の早期発見・介入システムを構築することを目標とする。
