Outline of Research at the Start

Ewing肉腫に特異的な融合遺伝子EWSR1-FLI1は、C末側のFLI1が転写因子であることから異常な転写因子として作用すると考えられてきた。一方、N末側のEWSR1はRNA結合因子でありスプライシングに関与することが示唆されているが、肉腫発がんにおけるEWSR1の意義は不明である。本研究では肉腫発がんにおけるEWSR1の機能およびスプライシング異常の意義について解明することを目的とする。
