Outline of Research at the Start

脊髄悪性神経膠腫は脊髄におこる希少かつ難治の“がん”である。本疾患に対する現在の標準治療では、半数の患者の生命予後は一年にも満たない。本研究では、光線力学的療法(PDT)を脊髄悪性神経膠腫に適応拡大するため、脊髄髄内に刺入可能、かつ柔軟で細径な拡散光ファイバー機器の開発を行い、より低侵襲で効率的なPDTを行う新規治療法を提案する。
