Outline of Research at the Start

強力なアンドロゲン受容体シグナル阻害薬は最終的に前立腺癌細胞を活性化しうる。本研究ではその結果生じるDNPCに焦点をあてる。DNPCは進行前立腺癌の終末的段階で、現在治療法が確立されていない。DNPCではKRAS活性が亢進していることが明らかとなった。しかし、KRASの活性化がどのように誘導されるか、という点は未解明である。前立腺局所の微小環境がKRASの活性化を誘導しているのではないかという仮説を立てた。DNPCにおける癌-前立腺間質細胞相互作用とKRAS活性化の関係を明らかにし、DNPCに対する新規治療開発の足掛かりとしたい。
