Outline of Research at the Start

ARSI（androgen receptor signaling inhibition）薬の登場により、転移性前立腺癌の予後は有意に改善されてきたが、やがては治療抵抗性を示すCRPC(castration-resistant prostate cancer)の状態となり、これは依然として致死的な病態である。
本研究は、リソソームのタンパク質分解酵素の一つであるlegumainに着目し、ARSI抵抗性におけるlegumainの役割の解明およびそれを標的とした新規治療法の探索を、細胞株や動物モデルを利用して行っていく。
