Outline of Research at the Start

低ゴナドトロピン性性腺機能低下症（MHH)は、視床下部-下垂体系の機能低下により肥満や2型糖尿病患者に見られる。本研究ではモデルラットを使用して、肥満を伴う2型糖尿病あるいは肥満により、視床下部からのキスペプチン発現量が低下し、下垂体異常が起こることがMHH発症を引き起こしているのではないかとの仮説を立て、検証を行う。本研究の意義は、MHH患者のQOL向上とキスペプチンを用いた創薬への応用である。
