Outline of Research at the Start

胚細胞腫瘍は代表的な小児・AYA世代固形腫瘍の１つでその病理像や悪性度はさまざまであり、 良性の成熟奇形腫、悪性の卵黄嚢腫瘍とさらにその中間的位置にある未熟奇形腫が存在する。未熟奇形腫の治療戦略は、外科療法と化学療法の必要性が年齢や部位により考え方が異なり、治療戦略が一定していない思春期前後の年齢層や部位などがある。小児・AYA世代未熟奇形腫においてリスクの層別化が可能となれば、悪性疾患として治療を強化するべきか、良性疾患として治療を軽減するべきかをより的確に診断することが可能になる。本研究では未熟奇形腫の新たなバイオマーカーの探索を行い、非侵襲的で最も適切な治療への層別化システムの開発を行う。
