Outline of Research at the Start

子宮内膜症は女性のQOL低下や不妊の原因となる疾患であり、完治可能な治療薬の開発が求められている。病巣の炎症性微小環境の悪化やホルモンシグナルの調節不全に着目し、SGLT2阻害薬とその関連薬の可能性を検討する。SGLT2阻害薬については、臓器保護や老化細胞除去作用を持つことが報告されている。本研究では、子宮内膜症の病巣間質細胞や生殖器周囲脂肪の代謝異常を解析し、酸化ストレスや老化随伴炎症に対するSGLT2阻害薬の効果を検証する。さらに、病巣局所でのエピゲノム変化によるホルモン調節不全の機構を解明し、炎症制御を軸とした新規治療薬の開発への基盤を探る。
