Outline of Research at the Start

本邦で頻度の高い卵巣明細胞癌は化学療法に抵抗性であり進行・再発例の予後は非常に悪く新規治療法の提供が切望されている。その治療法開発には癌の多様性を維持しながら長期培養・継代ができるin vitroの実験系が必要である。本申請ではまず卵巣明細胞癌の多様性と生体内の環境を忠実に再現し、長期培養が可能なオルガノイドを樹立する。次にそれを活用してミトコンドリア機能阻害剤のハイスループッドスクリーニングを行い新規治療候補薬の探索を行う。さらに同定された薬剤の詳細な作用機序を解明しその効果を高精度に予測する新しい手法を確立することで、卵巣明細胞癌予後改善に繋がる新しい治療戦略を提案する。
