Outline of Research at the Start	近年悪性腫瘍の治療成績は向上し、がんサバイバーに対する妊孕性温存は重要課題である。妊孕性温存療法は、小児男子には効果的な治療法がなく、小児女子でも卵巣凍結保存が唯一の手段である。若年層では造血器悪性腫瘍の罹患率が高く、造血幹細胞移植前処置で行われる放射線照射やブスルファンを含む化学療法は、強い性腺毒性を持つことが知られている。。本研究では、造血幹細胞移植前処置を再現した動物モデルを用い性腺毒性を誘発し、mTOR経路阻害薬が妊孕性温存効果を持つかを評価する。本研究の成果により、造血幹細胞移植を受ける多くの男女が、mTOR阻害薬の内服のみでがん治療後に自然妊娠を目指せる事が期待される。
