Outline of Research at the Start

頭頸部癌の中でもヒトパピローマウイルス（HPV）感染を主因とするHPV関連中咽頭癌の発癌および進展機序の詳細には不明な点が多くある。近年，癌微小環境における癌細胞と神経細胞の相互作用が癌の進展に関連すること，およびウイルスなどの外来からの病原体の感染を防ぐ細胞内センサータンパク質の一つであるNOD like receptor (NLR)とT細胞が発癌に関与することが明らかになってきた。本研究では，HPV関連中咽頭癌における，腫瘍関連神経によるNLRを介した免疫逃避機構および治療抵抗性の機序を解明することを目的とする。
